What is print on demand?
At Ohm Books Publishing, all of our physical books are distributed using a print on demand service (also known as POD), with local distributors worldwide.

Print on demand (POD) is a modern method of book printing that uses digital technology to print a book only when it is ordered. When a customer orders a book, one copy is printed and sent directly to them from their nearest supplier, saving time and transport costs without compromising the joy of reading a physical book.

For an author, this means being able to publish physical books without the upfront costs or risks of traditional printing, less waste and eliminating the need for a place to store books.
Why choose Print on demand?
Reduced Financial Risk
Print on demand eliminates the need for large investments in printing, reducing the financial risks associated with unsold inventory
No Storage Needed
Since books are printed as they are ordered, there is no need for large storage spaces or dealing with excess stock
Environmentally Friendly
To print a book on demand is more sustainable, as it reduces paper, waste and energy consumption associated with overprinting
Accessibility for Authors
Print on demand provides an accessible platform for self-published authors and small publishers who might not have the resources for large print runs
Flexibility
Print on demand allows for frequent and easy updates of or revisions to a book, without wasting existing stock
Global Distribution
Print on demand book services offer worldwide distribution, making it easier to reach a gloabl audience, printing the book locally
Is print on demand right for me?
Print on demand is a flexible, low-risk way to publish your work — but it’s not the perfect fit for everyone. If you’re an author looking for more control over your publishing timeline, want to avoid large upfront printing costs, and plan to sell primarily online or through direct channels, print on demand could be ideal. It's especially suited for writers with niche or targeted audiences, limited budgets, or those testing the waters with a first book.
